Arduino being one of the most popular development platforms is widely used by hobbyists and professional developers for designing numerous measurement and control systems. Arduino boards may be fit into wireless systems using modern wireless technologies such as XBee, Wi–Fi and Bluetooth. It is possible, however, to build effective wireless systems using common and well-known radio frequency communication technologies.
This guide describes demo projects of simple wireless measurement systems operating within the FM broadcast band (88 to 108 MHz) and the ISM band in the range from 433.075 to 434.775 MHz. All projects are very simple and can be easily repeated and modified if needed. The simple source code accompanies every project as well. The FM band projects use several popular FM receiver kits including Elenco FM Radio Kit, DIY FM transmitters, Adafruit Si4713 FM RDS Radio and VMR6512 Hi-Fi FM Transmitter DIY Evaluation module. The detail explanation on how to assemble and tune FM transmitters and receivers can help the beginners to become familiar with the basics of RF circuit design. The projects describing wireless sensor circuits operating at 433 MHz are based upon using popular low-cost 433 MHz RF Transmitter and Receiver Link kits, although separate transmitter and receiver modules can be applied as well.
The guide also covers the development of PC-based wireless measurement systems using Arduino and the popular Software Defined Radio Receiver USB Stick RTL2832 w/R820T.

Radio Frequency Communications in Arduino Projects eBook Yury Magda

The invention of microcontroller development kits like Arduino has greatly simplified all sorts of control and recording function. Here the power of this open-source concept is applied to making radio frequency control and automation work.

RF engineering even at the simple level is a very complex subject. This book shows how to do RF comm projects about as simply as possible by harnessing the power and ease of use of the Arduino microcontroller project. By taking a bottom-up approach the author not only gets down to the nuts and bolts that the student or roboticist is looking for, but manages to simplify the subject about as much as possible.

A handbook of RF control communications for the Maker movement.

Radio Frequency Communications in Arduino Projects eBook Yury Magda Reviews

The author references parts which are close to impossible to find. There is also no mention of potential regulatory issues, if they are or are not of concern.
I love playing with arduinos and this just expands upon what can be accomplished or done with these very useful micro controllers
I bought this quite a while ago and just got around to reading it. I was expecting some, home-brew, plug and play options for immediate results. NOT!
Might be interesting to those who want to follow what the author is doing and build some analog FM circuits. Definitely not an XBee type solution to having a communication system working by the next day.
This book is great for learning how to use the Arduino for communications. This book puts it all together in one place. I didn't find anything that was needed that wasn't available on the internet. One thing i learned about parts is that you have to leave time to find suppliers and order them before needing them. I've worked with electronics for more than 60 years and used to be able to use a local supplier or Radio Shack. Now it is , Ebay or Digikey.
very good
This was a bit different than what I expected, but still very happy. Not being a RF guy, this book opens up a whole new segment of electronics for me. I like the fact that Yury shows you how to make your own transmitter and receiver. This is like Heathkit and Radio Shack of old. Of course, he also discusses less DIY systems as well. Very good balance.
for an arduino book its just schematics and the entire book is schematics ONLY and pin lay out is HORRIBLE on the this book, not like most arduino project books & DEFINATELY the worst arduino book i have read so far, it takes pros a hard time for schematics reading and luckily i know it but still have to find out what connects where on each connection & alot of time wasted doing it, buyer beware EVEN PROS have trouble with schematics only books, so definately not a fun book to learn as schematic only books are HORRIBLE. REALLY not 1 pic of an arduino board pin layout at all in this book. You might as well just put Good Luck Learning from this Book on the Cover lol & don't have fun wasting your time trying all examples of its connections, luckily not expensive but still not worth the money.
